A Shining Light!!!

Standing tall in the sands of time
Watching the sun rise and set each day;
Some are vivid and some sublime
each unique in their own way.

The winds sculpt me as I stand
for they are puzzled at what I do;
One simple purpose, nothing grand
that is relevant in this day and age too.

Shining light through the darkness
guiding the way for those lost at sea;
Night after night I go about my business
I welcome all those who want to see.

I don't judge, I don't control
I only see people gone astray;
Guiding through the dark of poor lost souls
is the only purpose till this day.

oh! How I wish I could be a lighthouse
to help in the journey others embark;
For can there be any greater purpose
than shining a light to disperse the dark.
