Samantha: Open and available for all your projects Tuesday, Friday, and Saturday, as well as a color at 2 on Wednesday!
Lyndsey: Color available at 2 on Wednesday & at 11 and 1 on Thursday!

We almost forgot to say- We appreciate you! Next week is a mile marker in our biz, and we are pretty overwhelmed with gratitude when we think of everyone who continually invests in our business. We love being a part of your lives- and we really mean it.

Hey Girl, We've Noticed a Trend...

Welcome to our weekly email! Today we want to touch on something because we have noticed that you might be confused about the best ways to book an appointment. Here are some options:

1. Rebook at the time of your appointment! It's the easiest way to keep your cut and color looking fresh! We book up to 6 months in advance, so seriously: ask for that holiday appointment if you'd like! Having us take the lead will help you on your healthy hair care journey.
2. Book from the bottom of this email. Easy peasy! Click the button at the bottom and get to it :)
3. Book from our website. Scroll down to the bottom of any page and you will see the "regulars book here" link. However, if you look us up online PLEASE do not click our sponsored post at the top of your Google feed! Type "Darlinghairworkshop.com" into your browser. Clicking our sponsored post can cost us as much as $7 per click (insert "wow" or "cringe" face). We really appreciate your help here :)
4. Text us! Leave your name and what you would like to have done and we will get back to you asap.
5. Call, but also don't. Guys, how do we say this? Your girl has an admin team of me, myself, and I. I am really trying to avoid picking up the phone during services. It is so much faster and more convenient for me to text. We are working on the whole admin/assistant thing, but we aren't there yet.

Hey girl! We have appointments available this week!

Rachel: Cut and color 9:15 on Wednesday
Thursday: cut and color ay 12 or 2:30

Samantha: Tuesday 11:30 or 2 cut and color
Wednesday: 11:15 or 1:15 cut and color
Friday: Available for any daytime project!

Lyndsey: Available Wednesday and Thursday for all the color and color correcting fun!

Slower weeks are a great time to hop into our schedule if you haven't been able to recently! Grab your appointment this week before the kids get out of school!

Things Are Ramping Up!

Welcome to our weekly newsletter! If you are like us your calendar is absolutely packed this season! Graduations, concerts, recitals, field trips, and vacations are filling our books as we ride the rest of the school season. And if you haven't been invited to a concert (or 4) you can absolutely join our family. What's your flavor, jazz? Wind Ensemble? A 5th grade choral concert? Dance? We gotcha.

We Couldn't Sleep.

Welcome to the weekly newsletter from Darling Hair Workshop! We send an email every week to say "thanks" and a big "hey, do you need your hair done?" We are grateful you are here! Skip to the end to book an appointment, and we'll see you soon.

So anyway- I couldn't sleep.
If you have ever owned a small biz or had children or have gone to college or have recently filled up with gas or a cart with grocery- you might also be familiar with a sleepless night or two. But have you ever had a hard time sleeping because you were too happy? Too excited? Have you ever come to a realization that something is actually... good?

It can be difficult to read about joy in the morning when there is so much in the world to be bummed about. I had a roommate in Bible college who would go around singing in the morning to wake us up, and when we didn't match her glee she was admonished by the verse in Proverbs 27:14 that reads "He who blesses his friend with a loud voice rising early in the morning- it will be counted a curse to him."
Bible college humor. Always cringe but somehow still crying.

Don't get me wrong- anxiety still greets me some mornings. Band trip balances, early morning texts, tax bills (ugh the tax bills), politics, the heartache of my friends- but I have been practicing something. Instead of ruminating, I stand up. I get straight out of bed. I walk around. I read. I run numbers. I wash my face. No matter what time it is. I work it out. I have made a decision that I will not fail. It's in my journals, my books, my Bible. I read, walk, and talk until I align myself with it.

I will not fear.
I will succeed.
I will lead in this area.
My world is a refuge.

So the other night I couldn't sleep for the realization that some really hard work was working. We had the best week ever as a salon team. There is so much to improve, but when I stopped to think about it things were really good.

So of course, we just want to say thank you for your support! Whether you sit in Rachel's, Sam's, or Lyndsey's chair, you are responsible for some of our biggest "woo-hoo" moments. High fives all around. And dang y'all are cute.

We are full of gratitude.

We Are So Excited to be Back!

While Lyndsey was amazing to hold down the fort last week, we are all excited to be back in the coziest salon in town! When you come to the salon this week we want you to feel inspired, relaxed, and reassured that you made the right choice for your hair. Whether it is a big change or a small edit we love that you choose us over and over again (some of you for as long as 18 years!).

You are amazing. We love you. Can you tell we have been with our kids all week? And the neighbors kids? The only kind of crafting we wanna do involves a very sharp pair of sheers, ammonia and peroxide.

For the 4th week in a row Rachel is nearly fully booked! She would hate to miss out on serving her beloved regulars, so she really encourages you to book appointments in advance.
She has a haircut TODAY at 4:30, and a 90-minute appointment Wednesday at 2:45. If you would like today's cut text at 706.513.2435!

Samantha
Samantha has appointments available THIS MORNING and AFTERNOON,
as well as cut and color on 4/17 at 11:30 and a cut at 3. Her Friday is full of possibilities and she even has a color available Saturday at 1:45!

Lyndsey
Lyndsey is our resident big-challenge gal, and her books have been filling up with large scale transformations! Lyndsey has a haircut available today at 10, Wednesday at 10, and a color at 12 or 2 on Wednesday as well! She has a cut available Thursday at 3, and a cut and color at 1 on Saturday!

We look forward to seeing you at the salon this week! We hope everything goes smoothly as you move back in your house and send the kids off to school for a rushed 6 weeks! And if none of these things apply, y'all just keep on being fantastic. We appreciate you!

Some Thoughts on Hairdressing

If you are new here, we like to send an email once a week to connect with our clients. Of course, the bottom line is the bottom line: we want you to book! But we also believe that a salon experience should be a touch point for a soul reset. We believe what we see in the mirror affects how we see ourselves on the inside (it's kind of a universal truth). We could also go on about how the benefits of human touch, conversation, and connection beyond social media is vital for mental health.

We could go on...

For the last half of my career I have considered the salon experience as a sort of refueling. It's a time for the client to tighten everything back up, recharge her energy, and scoot on out for her version of this very important life. She goes home, cooks dinner, makes a business deal, teaches PE, loves on her family, budgets for an uncertain future- and all of this with a little less weight because of a few hours at the salon. It's humbling to consider the impact.

Hair is physical work.
Hair is soul work.
And I thought I got into it for the art.

Thank you for trusting us with your precious time and financial investment. We are working to improve ourselves, our space, our approach, and our services. We are grateful beyond measure for every trim, color, reset and radical transformation.
