Hello! ❤️✨️
It's been forever since I've posted any updates on here, so here we go! Going to try and give the short version 😅
Life has been WILD and beautiful the past 6 months! We welcomed sweet Briar at the end of July last year, and how 6 months has already flown by I have no idea. August my husband had knee surgery. September we found our new home in Mt. Vernon IN, we had been looking for nearly 2 years. We sold our old home and bought our new home within the same WEEK. So wonderful, and stressful. November we moved. December the holidays came, and many many family gatherings. ❤️ After 10 years of having a studio, the week between Christmas and New Year's I closed and moved out of my studio on North Main Street to take a step back, downsize, and really focus my energy into being a mom ❤️ Locked the doors on New Year's Eve!✨️ I am beyond thankful and blessed. It has all been 100% God's timing and it's been so very exciting, challenging, emotional (happy, sad, and all the other emotions in between...oh and slightly exhausting 😂😂)
The first week out of the studio I had 3 sessions to makeup in my home that were postponed due to weather and sickness, and it was good, just different than what I have been doing in the past.
The second week of January, when I THOUGHT we were maybe going to get to take a breath 😅, sickness hit our house with me. The following week Briar had a vaccinne that hit him pretty hard, and at the same time the stomach bug hit Willow, then fevers, snot noses, and all the things. I THINK we are at the end of the funk, with a grand finale of both kids getting double pink eye, as I write this in between eyedrops 😅😅 We have been so thankful to have stayed pretty much 100% healthy until now. I know everyone's been going THROUGH IT with the bugs, so it was our time. I am just so so thankful I can be home to take care of my sweet babies. I don't think I've ever been covered in so much puke, snot, boogers, eye gunk, in my life 😂😂😂 and washing my hands every 10 minutes, but I wouldn't want to be anywhere else in the World. It has been a half a year of ADJUSTING ❤️ adjusting to the new home, new drive, new routine, closing my space and staying home (🙏🏼❤️), helping Willow with the adjustments, and all while exclusively nursing this sweet boy. ❤️❤️❤️
Having said all of this, I have a hand full of galleries/work things that are taking me WAY longer to accomplish than normal. I am so thankful to every one of you that has been so patient and not only that, but giving all the encouragement and love!! And, I am sorry! ✨️✨️ I appriciate you all so very much, and I am so excited for this new chapter in life. The one that I am finding out goes WAY too fast because these babies grow up.
I am still doing on location photography, slowly going to be getting back in the spring. I know most of you are friends/regular clients that already know what's going on, but I wanted to post an update here! ✨️❤️
Life is beautiful. We are having so much fun, and we are so very blessed. I am soaking in every moment of these babies, even if it's the days where I feel like I'm a hot freaking mess and not cut out for it. It's been so beautiful to have my mind at home with my family and using my mental energy here.
Thank you for all the years of support!
