There are seasons of life we know are fleeting while we’re living them.

And somehow, we still don’t fully understand just how quickly they’ll become something we remember.

The newborn days are especially like that. You’re learning your baby, learning yourself in this new version of your life, settling into new rhythms, and moving from one day to the next. Meanwhile, everything is changing right in front of you.

I don’t believe photographs stop time.

They remind us that it didn’t stop.

And an album gives you somewhere to return to when the tiny fingers aren’t quite so tiny anymore. When the way they curled against your chest is harder to picture. When the version of your family that existed in those first few weeks has already grown into another one.

It’s not about holding onto the past instead of moving forward.

It’s about being able to look back and say:

We were here. This was our life. And it mattered.

That is why I believe your photographs deserve to live somewhere you can actually return to them. 🤍

I love a good branding session, but not just because of the final photographs.

There’s something that happens during them that I wish I could bottle up.

You can almost watch someone come alive in front of the camera.

The nerves start to disappear. They loosen up. They laugh. They start talking about what’s next, and suddenly they’re full-blown excited about the business, idea, or version of themselves they’re stepping into.

And I get to watch that transformation happen from behind my camera.

Sometimes a branding session comes at the beginning of something. A new business. A new direction. A fresh idea. Or simply a moment when you’re ready to show up differently than you have before.

The finished photographs give you something beautiful and intentional that actually reflects who you are and where you’re going.

But the experience itself?

Sometimes it reminds you that you’re already becoming the person who’s ready for it. 🤍

The moment we put this little one in the little bunny outfit, everyone just melted.

Mom, grandma, even dad and grandpa… completely wrapped up in how sweet she is, soaking in every second.

That kind of joy, the kind that makes everything else pause for a minute.

Easter is a quiet reminder of that.
New life, new beginnings, and the beauty of being right here while it’s happening.
