The perks of being in the military are the opportunities to travel this wonderful world that God created. This trip to Australia has been a blast so far.
Walking down the ocean side, we saw a bunch of parrots in the palm trees, but because of the colors of their bodies, they blended right in. Just as we look down, a local had his child's parrot sitting on his shoulder our for his nightly stroll to give the bird fresh air and his daily walk. He said that the parrots are some of biggest jerks in the city by dive bombing and they give a loud screech and then a couple of cackling hoots as if they are laughing. The birds do this for fun he said. Just before we walked off, the gentleman, which we never got his name, set his bird on Logan's shoulder and I captured the surprise but curious look on his face.
I have found out that the Aussie people, just like Canadians, are some of the nicest people you have ever met. The majority are able to just strike up a conversation with anyone, and are able to just give you a story about just anything you wish to hear.
