Matt & Adrianna ✨ Wow, what a magical evening and experience!
Story time:
Last month my sister (Adria) and I went on a mini weekend roadtrip to Rhode Island to get away and explore. I made some life changes regarding my career, which included a decision to jump back into photography after putting it on the back burner when I became a mama. The idea of doing photoshoots again was overwhelming and I wasn’t sure if it was something I should pursue or not, to be completely honest. I dusted off my gear and decided to get some quality time with my camera again. The first evening, we tried going to Castle Hill Lighthouse at sunset (6:45pm) but learned we were too late when they closed the park at 6pm and turned cars away. Although Adria & I were pretty bummed, we decided to come back the following day. The next day rolls around, we get there, explore, take photos and wait for the sunset. The next thing I know, I overhear two girls frantically walking around, anxious and from what I overhear, it’s obvious they’re trying to figure out where to hide because a proposal was about to happen.
In that moment I feel a nudge to ask if everything is okay and see if I could hop in to help take photos. In the back of my mind, I’m telling myself: “no you’re not ready for a photoshoot this soon, much less a proposal!”. Obviously, I ignored the doubt, spoke up and started taking photos.
After Matt proposed to Adrianna, I introduced myself and learned that Matt reached out to dozens of photographers without success. No one was available for his proposal. In that moment I realized this was exactly where I was supposed to be, doing what I was supposed to do. If this wasn’t confirmation or a sign from God then I don’t know what is. I’ve never had such an adrenaline rush from a photoshoot before, but phew 😮💨 this evening brought my love for photography back!
Matt & Adrianna, you were both such a joy to take photos of and some of the sweetest people I’ve met. I could feel the love you have for each other! You’ll never know how much of a blessing you were to me that day and I wish you both a joy-filled future full of blessings 🫶🏻💕 congratulations!!
