There is nothing more I love in this job than getting to capture my couples grow their families. My couples know that I really cherish the journey we get to go on together for their wedding days as their photographer but more when I get to continue the journey with them.

To get to see them go from a family of two to a family with fur babies or human babies is such a special experience. Something I absolutely and truly honor. These moments are more than just photos but the beginning of a journey capturing memories & moments that in the thick of parenthood feel both long and short. So short that before you know it THEY ARE 12 going to their first dance … that was me this week 😭!

Rosie & Stephen are like family at this point. They have welcomed me as not only a photographer but a friend. Since they got married a few years back we have had date days to the city, we’ve reconnected at some of their friends weddings, but in the last few years Rosie and I have spent time scouring bakeries & book shops or Stephen and I chat photo equipment & all things photography. It’s a friendship I am so fortunate to have gained & am so grateful for!

Now getting to see them as mom and dad is such an honor! They have made such a warm welcoming home for their little guy! I just know they are going to love him so hard and so big! He will be taught to love people big & live life with color!

I can’t wait to spend the year capturing their little guys as he grows and loving on them even more!!!

Hello lovelies!!!

I know many of you are wondering where all my social media has gone and I have to be honest, I've been debating on what to share, how much to share etc. ESPECIALLY when it comes to kids. I have more and more couples and families asking for limited sharing on social media. Something I am trying to figure out how to navigate, while also still sharing images to show I am here because I AM! I am still shooting, still seeing families, still capturing couples & families, I just have a lot more asking for privacy and I 100% respect that.

It’s been a little over a year since these two officially became part of my photo family. There day was one of the best. Full of sunshine, lovely people & some amazing food. A day I won’t soon forget! I was so excited when reached out for a 1 year session! And yall we tried hard to get it around their actual anniversary but Mother Nature had other plans.. however I have to say the plans worked perfectly because the weather was showing off for us this past Saturday.

Also Jenella and I both know some of life is in the small details. Like the fact that the reschedule morning JUST happened to fall on the same weekend as the Detroit Grand Prix was in town. It was practice day so we got to hear the glorious sound of the cars running the track during their session.

Was it loud? yep!

Did we love it? YEP!!

The gardens showed up and showed out this past weekend for flower garden minis! I had really hoped more people would book fees because these have been some thing I have wanted to do for so long! Well, they did not sell out this year, I’m trying again next year, they did turn out fabulous!

I got to see two of my favorite clients. And what was crazy is the two of them actually knew each other! It is always so surprising to me. How much of a small world it is, especially with my clients!

I absolutely love getting to take some of my favorite people to some of my favorite places. This includes this little sliver of the gardens in Ann Arbor, but I totally adore. We spent the morning enjoying the paths of beautiful flowers & grabbing some photos of these folks!

Householder & Carpenter families! Yall have been with me for so long and I am SO VERY grateful to get to celebrate life with yall!! Thank you for spending your Saturday morning with me 💕

I haven’t gotten to see these boys in FAR TOO LONG! The last time I saw them they were babies!!! Lucas was all chunky and baby rolls, while Will was the comic relief! I love getting to see how much kiddos have grown over the years!!!

One thing about these guys is that their little Lucas is a bit shy. The SWEETEST little one but shy. After first he was NOT at all interested in hanging out with me. It took some fun, games & running around like hooligans BUT it was worth it. Look at these smiles!!!

Also it would be a session with little boys if there wasn’t tackling, hugs that are more like suffocating each other or uncontrollable giggles. Those are a must to be captured in my book lol

All in all we had the BEST time last weekend!! congratulations again on winning my giveaway last year!!! I loved seeing you guys & catching up!!!

The photos included below are the location in the SAME weekend that I have these planned! The rhododendron are in full bloom in this window & the peonies are beginning to bloom! We had so much fun on Saturday with Disco Minis!!! Seriously we played music, we laughed, made memories & most of all got some great images of these families!!

Sometimes I don't know what to post. I was watching another vendor's story about how hard it is for a small business owner to post and I can completely relate. I often have beautiful pictures to share, but I can't come up with something clever to say about them or I question my posting order or I wonder if I should post it a different time of day... Social content is just not one of my strengths.
