The sun made me think of spring and then spring sessions which led to thinking of all the beautiful spring flowers…

Thinking of having some spring minis this year in a different spot than normal. It’s always so tricky with Michigan but florals are too good to miss. 🌷

I’m not sure if this photo deserves to have a spot here. But I attempted some cute Christmas photos with the kids and it was not as easy as I had hoped.

I swear it’s something about being a photographers kid 🤦🏼‍♀️

They weren’t matching with the one I attempted last year either so that threw me off. This 2 year old having a mind of her own ya know…. Sheesh
So this is what I settled for. I’m hoping to add more cute and creative images to the grid and continue my editing education the next year.

Anyways I stopped on to say I hope you all had a magical holiday. We are still figuring out what works for our family and are looking to add more traditions that my kiddos can take with them when they’re grown.

I’m just over here remembering that all these precious moments that I am so lucky to capture -have real people in them.

People who care about their babies, their homes, the people who make their daily lives livable, enjoyable and tolerable.

And THEY all bring a tiny sliver of joy to my own life✨

These two are entering parenthood and with that comes a whole new meaning of your lives and how you operate, speak up and use your voice to care for them. May you forever know the meaning of true unconditional love.

The most magical things I can do is create a world where these kids can be free to be happy.

I’ve come to terms that I’ve slowed on work. I still photograph so many weddings and families each year but as I raise children it’s definitely challenging. I know business can pick back up when both kids are older.

I do however find myself craving to always constantly learn and create. And that’s what motivates me to still do more with my images. To forever be photographing my kids one morning, an engagement later that day and singing alongside kiddos in a music class, a wedding or senior portrait session a few days later. I’m constantly doing something new with each person I photograph and listening to their unique stories. I love that.
