Lately, there has been a lot of conversation among photographers and parents about children’s photographs, artificial intelligence, privacy, and what happens to our images once they’re online.
And honestly?
I think you deserve transparency.
I will NOT be removing all identifiable images of children from my photography page.
I completely understand why some photographers and parents are choosing to do that, and I respect that decision. The capabilities of AI are unsettling, and unfortunately there will always be people who misuse technology and images in ways they were never intended to be used....
But on the flip side of that:
A LOT of the photographers saying they won’t post children anymore are still using AI in their businesses.I use Adobe for editing and Pixieset for delivering your galleries. Both companies offer products and features that incorporate artificial intelligence.
Technology aside, there’s something I believe even more strongly:
YOUR CONSENT MATTERS MORE THAN MY CONTENT
That means I will continue to:
📸 Ask for written permission before sharing your images on my business page.
🤍 Make sure you’re comfortable with the specific photographs I want to share.
🔒 Respect your decision if you prefer your family’s images to remain private.
❤️ And if you ever change your mind, I will respect that too.

If you tell me tomorrow that you no longer want an image online, I'll do everything within my control to honor that request.
💾 AND FOR FAMILIES WHO WANT ANOTHER OPTION…
I will offer the ability to purchase the original, un-edited files from your session. We can take your images from camera to frame with no AI interception if that is important to you.
Yes, it will be a higher-cost option.
But I believe that having choices matters — especially when those choices involve photographs of your children, your family, and the moments you can never recreate.
