On our way home from visiting Sheri's parents in Logan last night, we stopped to take a few pictures of the new Syracuse Temple. The cherry trees were in full bloom and looked awesome at night with all the lights. Sheri and I lived in Syracuse 25 years ago and it is neat to see such a unique and beautiful new temple in that area. The open house starts May 10th. After the insane hail storm this last week, I ended up at the Jordan River Temple. Right before sunset, the clouds cleared and created this incredible orange glow of the clearing clouds.

Bryn and I were in the back yard watching the approaching storm. I showed her the teal coloring and the dropped clouds were a good sign of a severe storm. I could see it was heading right for us so I put my drone up and took a few shots before the winds hit. Wow! Even this boy from Texas that has seen some good storms, was a little surprised!!! That was CRAZY!

I love the messages President Nelson and others shared the last couple days about Temples and the blessings we receive from serving in the House of the Lord. Here is another Christus picture from Snowflake Arizona after the sunrise. It was challenging to get the sun ray exactly where I wanted it with the height of the statue. I had to hold my tri-pod above my head and look for just enough reflection off the camera. Needless to say, I had to take a few to get this one.

As the clouds cleared out just enough to light up the sky right after sunset, I was able to capture this colorful sunset shot of the Snowflake Arizona Temple. I love how the ripples of clouds radiate color across the sky. The temple sits on top of a hill and you can see for miles across the valley which can help when you are trying to capture a sunset.

This last week Sheri and I spent the week in Arizona visiting friends and seeing the 6 Temples across the state. The second night we were there, we were able to see the Easter Pageant at the Mesa Temple which was awesome! The last morning we were in Snowflake and right near the Temple, they have a Christus statue that I was able to capture with a little sunrise color. I love the message that was engraved in the base of the statue. I am so grateful for our Savior and Redeemer. For his example of love, charity, kindness, and service. For his teachings, the Atonement, and triumphant victory over death. It was a week filled with thoughts of our Savior as we were approaching this Easter Sunday. I hope that I may strive each day to me more like Him.
