It’s been some time since I’ve posted. This is a long but important one.

Before the signs go up and word gets out, I wanted to share with all who have supported me over the last 8+ years that I’ve made the very difficult decision to close my studio location.

The thing that small business owners won’t tell you, is that as much as we truly LOVE what we do, choosing that lifestyle is never, ever easy. This decision comes from years of missing holidays, weekends, events with family & friends; from dedicating so much time to documenting others life moments & having very little time to enjoy my own (and let’s not forget the sleep I have sacrificed to editing🫣).

After October I will be taking a few months off to plan what the future holds for BJC Photography. I’m certain photography is something that I will always do, but my scheduling and availability will be very different in 2024. Please know if you have a session or wedding already scheduled, you can count on me to be there & pour my heart into capturing your special moments as I always have! After all, a studio does not make the photographer, images do 📸.

I’ve watched my little studio grow so much. I’ve have the honor of working with family, friends, even people I grew up with & for that I will always be grateful. So many clients have turned into very close friends & hope each of you know how much that means to me. Thank you for an amazing 8+ years in my studio. 💙

Lastly, to anyone who may be interested in my space, please feel free to reach out. I’m happy to pass your contact info on to the building owner.

❗️Important update regarding booking!❗️

I’ve recently found that my website AND Facebook are failing to send me notifications, AGAIN. Unfortunately I’ve missed a number of messages over the last few weeks & feel terrible for anyone I wasn’t able to fit in to my schedule (or respond to in a timely manner).

Because of this issue, the messaging feature will be removed from my website. For the time being I’ll only be scheduling appointments via email & phone. I apologize for any inconvenience this has caused. I don’t want to miss any more messages, especially during the busy holiday season!

One of my many goals for 2022 was to remember to post regularly on social media… so far I’ve failed pretty miserably 🙃. When this happens, many of you check on me to see how I’m doing & ask if I’m still working! 💕

It’s been a VERY busy year so far! Please refrain from judgement as I spend the next few weeks catching up on sharing weddings & photo sessions from the last several months. Oops 😬.
