It's a hot day in Conway for Arkansas NICA Time Trials weekend! The coaches and staff are keeping the athletes (and themselves) cool in a few different ways... the ice buckets were a huge hit, and the sprayer was my favorite!

Today was manly the Plains teams. With the extreme heat, we had to rearrange the weekend, so they went a day early. Tomorrow Plateaus will have their turn to make a hot lap! (And I do mean hot... heat index hit 105 at about 1230 today, which is our maximum for everyone's safety.

Arkansas NICA season is back! I got to hang out with the fine folks of BWHS MTB NICA TEAM grimsley_mtb & Fulbright NICA MTB Team last night as they prepped for this weekend's time trials in Conway.

We had an amazing time on our annual summer road trip! Acadia was incredible, abd we had fun on the puffin cruise, finishing our time there atop Cadillac Mountain for sunset. We enjoyed Montreal, where AC and a walked down to the pier after dinner while K was out with a friend (he ended up locked out of the hotel room until 4:30am, but had a great time anyway!). We spent a night in Sault Ste Marie, Ontario, and we walked to the Soo Locks for sunset. Niagara Falls was a return spot and didn't disappoint either! We started in Indianapolis, and they had an event, so I got to shoot some racing at one of the most iconic tracks in the world!

5,300 miles across Missouri, Indiana, Michigan, Ontario & Quebec, Canada, Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, New York, and Ohio... lots of stuff not pictured - Bay City & Mackinac Island, MI; Mt Washington, NH, Schenectady, NY & Cedar Point in Sandusky! There are definitely some photos still unedited on my camera... meaning there will probably be another post about this soon!

Came home with plenty to do! We are moving this weekend, so the boxes are getting full. And, I bought a car today (out of state), so hopefully I'll have wheels soon, too!

Last week, I was able to shoot another charity golf tournament for an industry event. I really don't enjoy playing golf ... i'm very bad, more of a liability, and likely to injure someone playing an adjacent hole. But, I am good at photography, and this is a good excuse to educate people about my company and build relationships for future opportunities for projects.

These are always fun events. Some people played to win, most played to have fun, and some were there to drink beer during business hours!

April (and May 1st) has been busy! Ana Cate's band concert, her Teen Girl Squad, Honest Abe at an industry conference, hotel bike, clip on toes, rail cars, brewery cats, bike rides with friends, and Iowa fire pit beers.... just a few of the things going on lately!

May will be one of change. Good change. I can feel it.

I have a ton of work travel, some Cocoa Beach time, a birthday, and celebrating my Dad on the anniversary of his passing. All in the next 4 weeks. Before I know it, my kids and I will be headed out for another road trip. I am looking forward to all of it!
