We love visitors to our garden. Butterflies have been abundant all summer, as they love the Zinnias and Lantana we planted in the spring. These are my first images to capture the more elusive hummingbirds that visit. We've made a conscious decision not to place feeders out, because we also travel and don't want the responsibility to keep them full when we're not here. Planting the flowers though has provided many sources of food for them but it makes the challenge greater for me to capture an image. That's okay. I'm enjoying the challenge!

With the fall temperatures so fickle this year, I was gambling on what I might get and where to capture some quality color. This was taken on the Cherohala Skyway, one of my favorite places. However it wasn't so much the leaves that caught my eye, but more the variation of tonal colors and shadows across the ridges and with the mountains seen in the background.

It's not a question of "if" but truly one of when will it happen again? Please read and understand how dangerous and ILLEGAL it is to take photographs on RR track right of way. Read it all the way to the end and help us spread the word....PLEASE!!

It's so rewarding to get a phone call from a recent client who is taking the time to just say "thank you"! I had the privilege to create a new Executive Portrait for a real estate agent. She called just now saying she wanted to let me know she's received numerous compliments on her portrait. She said the colors look great on her new business cards and website. Happy days!
