Fayetteville PD FPIUs 🚨🚔

The Fayetteville Police Department recently added at least 14 Ford Explorer FPIUs to be used exclusively for their School Resource Officer program. These hybrid vehicles are well-designed and unique, as FPD has, previously, almost exclusively used Chevrolet Tahoes for their patrol fleet.

It’s time once again for the 2026 American Association of State Troopers' (AAST) "Best Looking Cruiser" Contest and voting is open NOW through July 13, at 11 a.m. (CST)!

Our submission in this year's 13th annual photo contest depicts our classic white Dodge Charger with distinctive cobalt striping and ASP star, set against the skyline of our capital city, Little Rock.

The newest of Springdale's Fire Station, Station No. 4, had its grand opening on April 24th, 2026, featuring the departments' modern design, as well as a new Engine 4 and Medic 4.

Located at 3377 W. Huntsville Avenue, it replaced the oldest fire house in the city and serves West and Central Springdale under Battalion 2. Congratulations Springdale Fire Department!

ROGERS FD HAZMAT 8 ☣☢

Station 8 is home to one of Rogers FD's more unique apparatuses, HAZMAT 8, which is a 2009 HME 1871 walk-around rescue truck. It it part of Arkansas' USAR Task Force 1 and carries equipment to protect firefighters in unsafe conditions, contain spills, and identify and neutralize hazardous materials.

Tonight, the Springdale Fire and Police Departments responded to a 2-vehicle motor vehicle accident at Butterfield Coach and Don Tyson in Springdale. Engine 1 and Brush 1 came upon the accident after returning to station from a reported brush fire nearby, and Medic 5 responded later to treat the occupants involved.

ROLLOVER MVA

On June 7th, the Springdale Fire Department and Springdale Police Department responded to a motor vehicle accident involving an overturned SUV traveling Southbound on Hwy 71B. The driver sustained minor injuries and was not transported to the hospital.

DID YOU KNOW❓

For longtime residents of Springdale, you may remember Rescue 1, pictured below, a 1994 Freightliner FL70 walk-around rescue truck. During my latest ridealong with the SPD, I toured the building where the SWAT team's equipment is stored and to my surprise, saw Rescue 1, wrapped in grey, sporting a police badge. It had found a new home several years ago, supplying the Springdale Police SWAT Team's needs as an equipment truck for major incidents, and while it may not be seen very often, still plays a role in serving the city.
