One of the best parts of having a second shooter on your wedding day?
We can be in two places at once!
One of us can be photographing the bridal party formals while the other is... apparently hiding in a bush somewhere getting those artsy little detail shots. 😂💍📸

Reminiscing on all the laughs we had during their engagement session at Donovan Manor | Raleigh, NC Wedding Venue since their wedding is coming up!

There were dramatic dips, both of them kicking up a heel for a kiss, plenty of flirting and laughing, and whatever exactly was happening on that staircase. 😂

These two are the perfect example of what I want an engagement session to feel like. Don't ever take yourselves too seriously if that's not who you are! Your personalities are what make the pretty pictures actually feel like YOU! And all I want to do is help capture your essence so you can look back on these memories and feel like you're looking back at a time capsule of yourselves.

Detail photos are so much more than laying your rings down and snapping a photo. We’re finding the best light, styling your invitation suite, layering textures, arranging jewelry, flowers, sentimental pieces, all while making approximately 47 tiny adjustments until everything feels just right.

That’s why I always recommend building dedicated detail time into your wedding day timeline and having everything gathered & ready for us when we arrive. Invitations, rings, jewelry, shoes, perfume, vow books, heirlooms, anything you want documented. So while you're getting your glam on, we can go straight into gremlin mode in a corner somewhere. Also, don't be surprised to possibly find us outside in a bush somewhere hanging your necklace on a leaf 😂 it'll look amazing, trust us!!

The more time we have to thoughtfully style it all, the more we can turn the little pieces you chose for your wedding day into actual art. 🤍

Sarah thought they were simply heading to explore the Biltmore as part of their romantic Asheville weekend getaway. She had no idea Alex had planned an entire surprise engagement photoshoot for them as the perfect end to their trip!

I absolutely love getting to help build memories as part of the experience, making it feel bigger than just taking photos. Now these are a memento of their weekend away; a meaningful place, an adventure they went on together, and I got to third wheel for a bit 🤓 now these are more than just pretty pictures (which, if I do say so myself, they are pretty!) but they have a story to be told for years attached to them. 💕

To every mom who has stepped in front of my camera with a baby on your hip, snacks in your bag, a million things on your mind, and so much love in your heart, thank you. You are amazing. 🤍

Thank you for trusting me to document the laughter, the chaos, the muddy paws, and the quiet in-between moments you don’t always realize are magic while you’re living them.

One of my favorite parts of being a family photographer is getting to preserve the stories that will someday become heirlooms.
