A venue with beautiful rolling meadows, a pretty lake and sunset views. We had the timeline perfect for sunset photos. And then it rained. And then it stormed. And then out of nowhere, surprise tornadoes formed all around us. Neither the National Weather Service or local meteorologists had any idea that we would be under tornado warnings by night time. Tornado sirens blared as we were outside making these photos. But, we made the best of it, and still created a memory that will stand out more than even the best and most predictable sunset photo.
Sometimes, the best photos are the ones that aren’t planned. You just need a trusting and open minded couple, and a photographer than can set up remote lighting in less than 10 seconds and take a slight risk of equipment to get the shot. The couple was thankful. I’m happy.
