I am an American citizen, I had to provide the Department of Motor Vehicle with legal documentation for federally compliant license. Birth Certificate (with the state seal), marriage license (I am a woman and my maiden name changed) proof of address from utility company or bank. Valid license.
When I applied for a passport, I had to fill out an application. I had to give planned itinerary. I provided my license, a photo of myself, birth certificate. I had to pay a fee. I had to wait for my application to be authenticated. Finally I received my passport.
When we registered our children for public school there were requirements. Three Proof of address, mortgage documents or landlord/tenant lease, utility bill, bank statement. License or State ID, child’s birth certificate, child’s shot records. School registration application.
When we applied for our home mortgage, we had to provide a list of legal documents. License, Three years of tax records, bank statements, debts, had to sign for credit checks.
The same applies for other loans.
When we open bank accounts we have to provide legal documentation.
When we walk into state and federal buildings, hospitals, air ports, and the list goes on, we are subject to metal detectors & having our belongings searched.
When we go shopping, we have to pay for the items in our cart and have the receipt as proof of payment.
When we drive our vehicle, we are to be licensed & insured. When registration renews on our vehicle, we must provide our vehicle registration, license (the person named on the registration must be the person renewing) proof of insurance, payment.
I could go on with all the requirements needed for many situations in life.
When it comes to voting, why are our rules slack? The American people have the right to a legal voting process.
There should not be any questions raised about the citizenship of voters. If you are an immigrant, you should have to prove that you have become a legal citizen of the United States. If you can not, you simply can not vote.
The process of validating voting rights should be a priority. All of the items I listed above require specific documentation. Without that documentation you will not have a federally compliant license; a passport; the groceries in your cart; registered vehicle; mortgage……
Many, American Citizens lose their voting privileges due to criminal status. Felony charges, incarceration status, depending on state laws. Yet, people don’t argue for their vote.
Why are our government officials making it seem as though it’s a problem when states are tightening up the requirements to ensure that voters are legally eligible to vote. Voting is the right and the privilege of the American people. It is not the right or priveledge of non-citizens.
This post is not for any political party or candidate. This post is for the rights of the American 🇺🇸 People! Protect our country & citizens.
