Running a business while managing a full-time grad school class load wasn’t without its challenges, but I’ve learned not to wait for ideal conditions to take advantage of opportunities.

I enrolled at Harvard Extension School because I believed the best thing I could do for my team and my clients was to continue to learn as both a leader and a marketing professional.

I’m particularly proud of this achievement. It took immense discipline to see this journey to the end.

Thank you for inspiring me to pursue higher education as a veteran, and thank you, , for making this level of education accessible and an incredible experience overall.

I’ve worked 46 days straight & I don’t say that lightly.

Work life balance was a hard earned lesson for me after burnout kicked my ass in 2024. So, don’t take this as a motivational push to go too hard.

I have fallen back in love with my work again. It took a full year but I am so back. Doing the hardest work in therapy yet, pushing myself to insane limits as an entrepreneur but it feels so different now because I have support.

I have a business partner who fills in my weaknesses perfectly.
I have a partner who goes as hard as I do but also shoulders half the stress and pours into me.
I have a team that is in this with me.
I have the best assistant who makes sure I laugh every single day (and eat lunch 🙄).
I have a mentor in business that has empowered me to reach new heights.

That moment right before insane success, the thing people will call an overnight success - I’m in that moment right now, I can feel it. I will enjoy every moment of it, just as I enjoyed the crazy startup days and all the wild seasons in between.

If I can do it - a little girl from nowhere Tennessee, a rough childhood and metric ton of trauma - then anyone can.

Finished my very last final at

It’s a bitter sweet feeling for this journey to come to an end. Harvard opened so many doors for me, I found a place where I belonged and incredible people that inspired and pushed me to achieve more.

It took an immense amount of hard work and sacrifice but I couldn’t have done it without the incredible people that supported me along the way.

thank you for every phone call where we talked each other off a ledge through exams

for being my best friend I made at school

for inspiring a deep love of learning and higher education

for picking up my slack so I could prioritize studying

for giving me the confidence to attend a top school as a military veteran

The opportunity to continue my education is truly a privilege that I will continue to pay forward. There are so many more people who have cheered me on and believed in me - thank you 🫶🏻

To the Department of Veterans Affairs that made every step in this process infinitely harder and more challenging than it needed to be, I made it anyways.
