Austin setup his new 4.0 REVEAL by Tactacam trail camera on one of our favorite late summer and early fall camera locations. This is a major river crossing that the deer use until cool weather, then we see a big drop off of activity at this spot.

The beans in our food plot are looking nice! We planted our fall plantings a week ago and managed to get some timely rain after we planted and should start sprouting soon!

The Old Treehouse!

It started out as just a wood base in the tree and we used our pop up ground blinds on top. Then over the years we have added more and more to it from scrap pieces of wood to try and make it more comfortable as the kids started hunting during the cold days of late season.

It doesn’t look like much and nothing fancy but the time spent and the memories made building it in the summers and hunting out of it each season are priceless!

Next weekend we will be tearing this old stand down and replacing it with a much better built and much warmer stand. Things change over time and it will be nice having the comfort of the new stand but I think I am always going to miss the days of the Old Treehouse!
