I wanted to make a post to say that with my current diagnosis of myasthenia gravis, I will no longer be able to photograph surfing. My current situation has left me unable to see out of my right eye and double visioned in the left. I can no longer drive. What's really crazy is that I need a nero-muscular neurologist and in the state of Florida this is almost impossible to get an appointment with anyone who knows this condition and the ones who do are booked until the middle of next year.
The longer I go without treatment the worse the condition gets. Extreme muscle weakness and exhaustion seem to be taking over at this point. The brightness is also a factor to me not being able to do this also.
So after 14 years of photographing surf I am no longer doing it. I will not be posting on this IG as doing updates is pointless at this time.
I wish for nothing but the best for everyone. And this is me signing off, it's been real fun.
