You may ask: "But...What about the pretty posed photos of us in a field, where everyone just got done crying because they were promised ice cream??"

To which I say: "Those won't be necessary."

Well, the tears wont. Ice cream is always welcomed. 🍦

⁉️ What does Founding Families even mean?

Im offering up a Full Day of relaxed family documentation at a half day price, for families who want their real memories captured. I'm calling it Founding because these are the first Families to be part of this new offer with me.

I started dipping my toe in the water years ago, with smaller one hour family sessions. But, it never felt long enough.

It takes at least 1 hour for most people (especially adults) to even become comfortable with a stranger in their home. After the 2nd hour, is when the good stuff happens. The kids see me as a friend, then forget about me and go ask for snacks.

With a half day or full day family session, we dont have to rush from activity to activity. Life can naturally happen, meaning your photo gallery is truly authentic & meaningful to you.

This is for the families who:
-want to remember what this season of life FELT like
-are tired of stiff, posed portraits that look like everyone else's
-wants a photographer who blends in, not directs it.

We spend so much of our lives chasing the next thing. We tell ourselves "When I get there, THEN I'll be happy." When I have the house, the trip, the milestone life I pictured.

And sometimes you do get there.
And nothing really happens. You're still you. The day still ends. The sun still goes down.

Maybe the saddest part is realizing how much time you spent waiting to arrive, while your life was already happening. All of those regular, ordinary days you spent wishing you were somewhere else. Those were it.

Those were your life.

That's why I don't just photograph the milestones. I photograph the Tuesday afternoons. The car ride home. The family walk to your local ice cream shop. The kitchen mess. You know...the regular days.

I photograph these regular days because I don't want you waiting for "someday" to realize this WAS the good part.

The days you'll ache for are happening now. ❤️

Im opening up something new: full-day family documentary sessions.

Not the kind of session where everyone lines up, slaps on a fake "cheeeeese", and counts down the minutes until its over.

Im talking the kind of session where I show up in the morning chaos and stay theough the backyard nonsense, catch the meltdown and the reconciliation and leave with a day fully preserved. No staging necessary.
