Dancing at weddings is one of my favorite parts of the day to document. Sometimes the dance floor is big, crowded, raucous and a little unhinged. Sometimes it’s smaller and more of a space to just vibe and take in the enormity of the day. The emotions and feelings. Other times the dance floor is an outdoor patio. But the one constant is that almost everybody will get on the dance floor and let loose a bit at a wedding. It’s like watching two people commit themselves to each other just makes people want to get loose and party a little. Jump around. Dance. It’s a unique space and one that I love inhabiting. 2025. It’s done! As always, I feel so fortunate to document so many super important moments for so many interesting and fantastic people. Creative photos for creative, one of a kind couples, families and individuals. Hard to make just one end of year post. So more to come!

And in the end we are nothing more than love and space dust.

These two got married at Lowell Observatory. They love space and Star Trek.

Here’s how this image came together. It’s four exposures layered on top of each other. We’ve got a silhouette taken inside the reception tent. Next we have the night sky, which shows up inside their silhouette. Then we have a very intentionally blurry image of some planets featured in some signage on the observatory campus. Last we have the quote, which came again from some signage I found around the property.

Toasts. Speeches. Whatever you want to call them, they’re often one of the most beautiful moments during a wedding day. We don’t often tell our friends and family how much they mean to us.
