~Flying into the Home Stretch~
I had my (hopefully) final angiogram a few days ago-and this morning Dr. M showed us the side by side images of my brain with my 4 aneurysms last year and my brain now. My brain did what she was supposed to do, she built new walls with the support of the metal place to guide her. She looks strong and capable and I’m really proud of her, while deeply grateful for Dr. M, his team and miracle of technology. I’m especially grateful for all the people who have stood by my side over the past 16 months as we’ve navigated this journey. I’ve never felt alone in this.
Now we give my brain another six months to continue to heal and we look inside again during an MRA. If she’s clear, I move to no more scans and only baby aspirin as my blood thinner.
Yesterday while paddle boarding two dragonflies landed on my board and came along for the ride-this has happened so many times over the past few years of paddling, I just lean into their presence and exhale strength.
Onward….
