✨ A little note about custom photo setups…

One of the things I love about photography is taking an idea and helping bring it to life! I absolutely welcome inspiration photos, and I’m always happy to look at your ideas and see what we can create.

However, there is an important difference between choosing a setup using items I already have in the studio and requesting a custom-designed setup.

My regular session pricing is based on using backdrops, props, furniture, décor, and other items that I already have available.

When you send me an inspiration image and would like something created specifically for your session, I may need to source and purchase specialty backdrops, florals, props, balloons, furniture, or other décor to achieve that look. Those costs can vary greatly depending on the design.

Sometimes a custom setup may only require a few additional items. Other designs can require several hundred dollars in materials alone before the photography session even begins.

Because of this, custom setups are individually quoted based on what is needed to create your vision.

And please don't feel like you have to go with the most elaborate option! ❤️ If the original inspiration is outside the budget you had in mind, I’m always happy to discuss ways we can simplify the design, use pieces I already own, or create a different setup with a similar feel.

Inspiration photos are always welcome — they give me a wonderful starting point. Just keep in mind that inspiration involving items that need to be specially ordered or purchased may require an additional custom setup/design fee.

Sometimes the final image is only part of the story. 🤎

What you see here was not captured in a single photograph.

This finished portrait was created from a series of separately photographed images, carefully planned and then brought together during the editing process.

For baby’s portion, Mom was right there holding and supporting her baby safely while I photographed exactly what I needed. The deer and other elements were photographed separately, and then each piece was carefully blended together to create the final portrait you see here.

There was never a moment when this sweet baby was actually suspended beneath a deer. Safety always comes first, especially when working with newborns.

This type of portrait is where photography and digital artistry come together. It takes planning before the session, multiple photographs, detailed editing, and a little imagination to turn all of those individual pieces into one finished piece of art.

And this is the result. 🤎

Tiny details. Sweet little poses. A gallery created just for your baby. 🤍

One of my favorite parts of my Signature Newborn Experience is creating a variety of beautiful setups throughout the session.

From cozy little beds and carefully chosen props to sweet outfits, wraps, and timeless newborn poses, each setup is thoughtfully styled to give parents a gallery filled with variety while still keeping everything beautifully coordinated.

And these little details? 🥹 The tiny hands holding the swing, the little cowboy hat, and cuddling that tiny bunny are exactly why I love newborn photography so much.

My studio provides the newborn outfits, wraps, hats, props and styling, so parents can simply arrive with baby and let me take care of creating the magic.

Because they're only this tiny for such a little while. 🤍

She had a vision—and we brought it to life. ❤️

When she sent me an inspiration image of the backdrop she wanted for her session, I was able to track it down and create the look she had envisioned.

From the romantic rose garden setup with her fun polka-dot look to a completely different, bold editorial set for her second outfit, we created two distinct looks in one session—each showing a different side of her style and personality.

This is one of my favorite things about creating custom portrait experiences. You don't have to walk into the studio knowing exactly how to make it all come together. Bring me your ideas, inspiration images, outfits, or even just a general vision, and we'll build from there.
