Three of my five children. Three of my four girls.

They’re a big part of my “why.”

They keep me on my toes, make me laugh more than anyone else, and remind me every day what really matters. Every long day, every sacrifice, and every goal I’m chasing is about building something they’ll one day benefit from.

Time moves fast. Before I know it, they’ll be grown and creating lives of their own. Until then, I’m going to keep making memories, taking the photos, and soaking up every laugh, every silly face, and every hug.

Being their dad is one of the greatest blessings God has given me. I’m thankful I get to witness them becoming exactly who they’re meant to be. ❤️

What’s one memory with your kids you’ll never forget?

I move with the hunger of a beginner and the gratitude of someone who knows every opportunity is a blessing. I’m thankful for the chance to create and share my perspective with the world. I’m still becoming.

God’s timing. Our patience. 🏆

This is truly an honor and a humbling experience.

For me, this moment has been 10 years in the making. I once believed that the only way I could ever be nominated for, let alone win, an Emmy was through a news organization. Two years ago, Rodney W Brown and Justin R. Brown invited us to experience the atmosphere and witness iMichigan Productions win in 2024. Looking back now, I realize God was simply giving me a glimpse of what was possible before it became my reality.

If I’ve learned anything, it’s that every major moment in my life has happened in an unorthodox way. God has never moved in the way I expected Him to. He has consistently blessed me in unconventional ways. The opportunities, the doors, and the milestones have all come in His timing, not mine.

This Emmy is another reminder that the journey requires patience, faith, and the willingness to keep showing up, even when you don’t know how everything will come together.

The moral of the story is simple: Stay focused. Keep doing the work. Keep your faith present throughout the journey. Don’t quit just because the path doesn’t look like what you imagined. What God has for you will arrive exactly when it’s supposed to.

To everyone who has supported us, prayed for us, collaborated with us, referred us, and believed in our vision over the years, thank you. We don’t take any of this for granted.

From Flint, Michigan, to becoming Emmy Award winners, only God could write a story like this.

To God be the glory. 🏆🙏🏾

From Emmy® nominee to Silver Telly Award winner.

I am honored to share that Missing Piece No More received a 2026 Silver Telly Award in the category of General Non-Profit. I am grateful for the opportunity to have worked with an incredible team at iMichigan Productions and Flint Michigan Films.

It's a reminder that storytelling matters when you're recognized at this level. Every production day, every late night, every challenge was worth it.

Thank you to everyone who trusted me with this work and supported the vision. Flint is in the room.

Honored to be nominated for a 2026 Michigan Emmy® Award for Missing Piece No More alongside iMichigan Productions.

Happy Birthday to one of the best to ever do it.
Lecturer, filmmaker, director, and producer Rodney Brown.

Thank you for every opportunity, every lesson, every conversation, and every random check-in along the way. Your work, wisdom, and presence have impacted more people than you probably know.

From trusting us in creative spaces to pouring knowledge into the next generation, just know it never goes unnoticed and it is deeply appreciated.

Happy Birthday, old school. Respect always.

Last week at the Ballenger Lecture Series, we had the opportunity to capture a powerful conversation led by Dr. Bobby Mukkamala, right here in Flint.

Dr. Mukkamala is a board-certified ear, nose, and throat physician serving Genesee County. He is also the 180th President of the American Medical Association. His work reflects a deep commitment to both medicine and community.

Moments like this remind us that home is more than a place. It is people, shared knowledge, and the stories that shape our community. Inside Mott Community College, voices came together to reflect, challenge, and build on what it means to live, learn, and grow in Flint.

From the stage to the audience, every perspective adds to a larger story. One rooted in culture, education, and the responsibility to carry it forward.

Grateful to document spaces where ideas live and community shows up.

A powerful night of music, culture, and community closed out Mott Community College’s Black History Month celebration.

Last Friday, we had the honor of capturing the closing celebration of Mott Community College’s Black History Month program, featuring a powerful live performance from Mama Sol.

The room was filled with music, culture, and community. From the stage to the crowd, every moment carried the spirit of storytelling through sound.

We documented the performance and the behind-the-scenes moments that made the night special. These are the moments that remind us why music continues to bring people together.

Thank you to Mott Community College for the opportunity to help preserve this experience.

Take a look at a few moments from the night.
