When people think of weddings, they often picture a big venue, hundreds of guests, and a packed dance floor. But the truth is... every wedding is different, and that's exactly how it should be.

Over the last 3.5 years, we've had the incredible honor of capturing nearly 100 weddings, and no two have ever been the same.

We've photographed intimate ceremonies where it was just the couple, the two of us, and nature surrounding us. (Ashley even officiated one wedding while DJ served as a witness... and we recruited a friendly hiker to be the second witness)
We've documented courthouse weddings, backyard celebrations, elegant ballroom receptions, rustic barns, waterfront ceremonies, and venues that completely take your breath away. We've celebrated with just a handful of loved ones and with guest lists of more than 200 people.

And honestly? We love every single one of them.

Because at the end of the day, your wedding isn't about checking boxes or following traditions. It's about celebrating your relationship in a way that feels authentic to you.
Whether you're planning an adventurous elopement, a cozy backyard "I do," or the wedding you've been dreaming about since you were a kid, our job is the same: to preserve the moments you'll want to relive for the rest of your life.

There is no "right" way to get married. There is only your way.

We recently saw someone in a local Facebook group looking for a photographer, and one of their requirements was that the photographer be okay with not posting photos of their children on social media.

Just a little reassurance for any parents who might be wondering... this is actually a very common request.

One of the reasons it's important to hire a professional photographer is because professional contracts cover things like image usage and photo releases. Before your session, you'll have the opportunity to decide whether or not you're comfortable with your images being used for our website, social media, advertising, or other marketing. If you don't want your child's photos shared, that choice is respected.

We've had this request quite a few times over the years, and it's never been an issue for us. Some of our close friends have chosen to keep their daughters completely off social media, and while their sessions are some of our absolute favorites, we've always respected that decision without question.

Recently, Liz gave us permission to share just a few images from their latest session that didn't show their daughter's face, and we love that there are still creative ways to capture and share those memories.

If keeping your child off social media is something you feel passionate about, we're more than happy to accommodate that. We can even get creative with posing and angles so your child is still part of the photo without showing their face, giving you beautiful images you're comfortable sharing!

At the end of the day, you're the client. Our job is to create photos you'll love while respecting what is best for you and your family 🫶
