For a moment, a parent sees every version of their child all at once:
the baby they held, the little kid who needed them for everything, and the person now standing in front of them, ready to begin a new life.
I think that’s why these moments hit so deeply.
Because beneath all the celebration is a parent realizing just how fast it all went by.
