As a mama watching her babies grow far too quickly before her eyes, I find myself wanting to remember every single moment—the big milestones and especially the simple, ordinary days that I know one day I’ll long to go back to.
As a photographer, it has been on my heart to capture those simple yet special moments that often seem small now, but will become some of our most treasured memories.
Recently, I read the words, “You only get 18 summers with them. Choose them wisely.” And honestly, it stopped me in my tracks.
So this summer, I’ve dedicated the majority of my sessions to our new 18 Summers Series—sessions created to freeze those sweet summer memories forever. The popsicles on the porch, the bare feet in the grass, the bubbles, the sprinklers, the front-yard adventures, and the quiet moments at home(or at the local park or ice cream stand, etc.) that make up the very best parts of childhood.
Because one day, these will be the days we miss the most. 💛
