This post contains Spiders ,specifically Golden Orb Weaver Spiders while I absolutely love these pictures and these guys I know that they are not for everyone!

These guys show up about the last month of summer and when they do I know that crisp fall evenings are not far behind them! I have not always loved Spiders, I dont necessarily love them now either but I have a healthy respect for them and their part in our eco system. The golden orb weavers tend to stick to parts of the yard that have less foot traffic, they stick to their general area and quite frankly they are large enough to spot before you walk through their web! Speaking of their web did you know they have a naturally golden hue to their silk? And that pound for pound their drag line silk is stronger than steel and tougher than Kevlar? These spiders are nothing short of amazing and I absolutely love that they take up residence in our yard every year!
