2013 Biola Men's Soccer

Highlights of the championship soccer game between Biola University and Concordia University. Biola statistically had the best defense in GSAC for 2013, tied BU school record for most goals scored by one person in a season; best overall season in school history, but fell short in the championship game, 3-2. Great season, great players. Wonderful memories!

Biola Men's Soccer Team came out to play for the GSAC Championship game Saturday Nov. 16 against Concordia. Biola dominated the first half. Second half BU didn’t maintain their possession game and the defense was a bit shaken by the wind and a PK, finally resulting a 3-2 loss. Most impressive was BU men’s response afterwards: Disappointed but clearly not defeated; chins held high and Christ-centered attitudes prevailing. Well done boys.

I'm excited about nearing the completion of processing and classification of the photographs from the Concordia and Arizona Christian Biola Men's Soccer games. It looked like a challenge early, but some strategic plays and a little bit of luck helped Biola get a 2-1 win over Westmont and secure their spot in next Saturday's GSAC Tournament Championship.

Biola Men's Soccer repay the shutout experience to Arizona Christian tonight will a little interest in a 6-0 victory at home. Goals by Hanscom, Hayes, Deogracia, Chew, O'Keefe, O'keefe. Is was a special night recognizing the outgoing Seniors: Carlos Ballesteros, Daniel Chew, Steve Day, Scott Hayes, Kevin Kiser, Joao Toscan, Bryan Williams.

Biola Men's Soccer increases their win streak to 3, toppling first place Concordia University in a 3-0 win on the road. BU defense held Concordia to only 2 SOG, with JT Addington earning an impressive shutout. Also impressive: 3 goals by O'Keefe, Day, Hanscom. The win helps position BU for a birth into the national tournament. Great team work, selfless play, and determination earn BU the "W". Record 11-3-1.
