🐄❤️ Our 3rd stop on the Southern Door County tour was Vandertie's Doorco Farms! This stop took me right back to my very first field trip as a kid… to a dairy farm! And I have to say, visiting farms as an adult is just as much fun!

First, let me introduce you to the REAL boss of this beautiful farm… DIXIE THE DOG! 🐶😂

I absolutely fell in love with her! At one point, I wandered away from the group to capture a wide-angle photo of the farm, and wouldn't you know it, Dixie was right there trying to herd me back with everyone else!

Apparently, wandering photographers are NOT allowed on her watch! 😂

And can we talk about the barn?! The space where the cows relax was absolutely beautiful, and so were the cows!

Just like our first farm visit, I learned how much thought and care goes into breeding and nutrition to keep the herd healthy and thriving. There is SO much more to dairy farming than most people realize!

🧀 And then there were the CHEESE CURDS!

I was lucky enough to bring home a bag of cheese curds made with milk from their cows.

I GOT ONE. ONE CHEESE CURD! 😂

My husband devoured the rest of the bag before I had a chance to enjoy them!

Between the beautiful farm, the gorgeous cows, the delicious cheese curds, and my new four-legged friend Dixie, this was another unforgettable stop on our Southern Door County adventure!

It's never too early to start thinking about your senior photos!

Now, OF COURSE, I would love for you to choose ME! 😂❤️ But before you book your senior session, I encourage you to DO YOUR RESEARCH!

Every photographer has their own style, creative vision, and approach to senior photography.

Start by looking through their portfolios. What catches your eye? Do you love bright and airy images, bold and dramatic lighting, or something in between? Can you picture yourself in the photos you're seeing?

And don't stop at looking at pretty pictures!

Learn about the photographer's process. Do they help you plan outfits and locations? Do they take the time to get to know you? What is included in their packages?

One of the BEST ways to research a photographer is to schedule a consultation!

And yes, it's perfectly okay to meet with more than one photographer!

Meeting in person gives you the opportunity to ask questions, share your ideas, and discover whether you feel comfortable with the person who will be behind the camera.

🚜🍔 Back to the Southern Door County Farms & Fisheries Tour!

Our next stop was LUNCH! And let me tell you, Soukup’s Country Grill & Custard did not disappoint! 😋

Soukup’s is a family-operated food trailer specializing in delicious burgers made with beef raised right at Soukup Family Farms! They also offer a variety of sides, soft-serve treats, and weekly specials like Thursday Wings and Friday Fish Fry!

🍽️ When our group pulled up, the food was ready and waiting for us! Everything was fresh, hot, and delicious!

I went with the pork tenderloin sandwich, and WOW! The breading was packed with flavor! Tom even told me they use that same breading for their Friday fish fry. You know what that means... I might need to make another trip! 🐟

❤️ But my favorite part wasn't just the food. It was seeing the smiles on the team's faces! You could tell how proud they were of what they do and how excited they were to be part of this tour. That kind of pride makes the experience even better!

If you're visiting Door County, Soukup’s Country Grill & Custard is definitely a must-stop!

🚗✨ Vintage cars, downtown vibes, and a favorite park!

Meet Brody, Sun Prairie High School Class of 2027! 🎓

This was one of those extra special senior sessions for me because I actually photographed Brody when he was little! ❤️

There is something so sweet about watching these kids grow up and then getting the opportunity to photograph them for their senior year. How does time go by so fast?!

We incorporated some vintage cars, explored downtown, and stopped at a favorite park to create a gallery that was all about Brody!

And here's something else I LOVE! His mom ordered a beautiful framed 9-up featuring nine of her favorite images from his session! 😍

Because let's face it, choosing just ONE favorite senior photo is nearly impossible!

🐴✨ Meet Aalyiah, Fond du Lac High School Class of 2027, and her supporting actor… KitKat! ❤️

This was my VERY FIRST time photographing a horse! I'll admit, I was a little nervous. But the moment I met KitKat, all those nerves disappeared. KitKat was like a giant puppy dog! 🐶

And can we talk about Aalyiah's DRESS?! 😍

SHE THRIFTED IT!

I absolutely LOVE this! Not only was it perfect for her photos, but it tells me a little something about her personality. Clearly, this girl loves an adventure and knows how to hunt for a good treasure!

This is exactly what I love about senior photography. Incorporating the things you love, showing off your personality, and creating photos that are uniquely YOU!
