It’s Day One of Christmas in July, and I’m sharing what I learned in a darling class by Kelli May-Krenz! I tried out her Sugarplum Stitching online course and I am hooked on this technique. Layering hand painted fabric, stitches, sequins and beads is my new favorite thing to do, I even carried a little bag of embroidery goodies with me to travel! There are many ornament patterns and lessons in the class.
I started with these Sugarplum Gumdrops, with Kelli’s guidance every step of the way. They are so scrumptious, sparkly and nostalgic, and she is a delightfully engaging and gentle teacher. I highly recommend you give her class a try!
If you’re loving holiday inspo in July, you won’t want to miss the creative projects from my crafty cohorts all week long, watch tomorrow for Susan M. Brown, followed by Try it - like it - create it and JuanitasCasita.
Vintage fabric in this project is from Betty's Bits and Bobs, I’m fairly obsessed with their products!
