NECR 323 is normally a nocturnal job that arrives into St. Albans, VT in the early morning hours so when I heard that a northbound 323 was making a daytime run up the Roxbury sub I set out to catch them.
I would catch them three times between North Duxbury and St. Albans, VT.

Its not every day that you get to see a heritage unit leading a train on the CPKC D&H, but two is even more rare.

I would chase the train from Rouses Point, south to the Fort Edward Glens Falls Amtrak station before breaking off the chase and heading home. While in route, we would also catch the northbound CPKC 329 which was a mix of 329 (empty grain) and a small mixed freight that would be 229.

A little passenger train action in Jim Thorpe PA after a full day of chasing 4014 and 2102.

The first train led by two SD50s would bring in the empty passenger cars from the 2102 excursion. They would pull up to the crossing by the station then back down into the yard for servicing.

The second train I am not to sure about. It came into the hard while I was eating dinner then Departed shortly after. A few people were riding it out of the station but they could have been R&N employees.

On June 10th I would spend a few hours trackside on the CSX Buffalo Terminal Sub & NS Lake Erie Distric which are only seperated by a hundred feet or so.

Most of my catches would be CSX train but I would catch a few NS ones as well including on Eastbound led by a BNSF engine.

On April 27th, CPKC would run a loaded ballast GREX Slot Train north from Newport to Farnham QC.
The train would consist of 3 locomotives (One CP and two VRS) and the standard G19 mixed freight up front. The 4 long articulated slot cars would bring up the rear. The GREX Slot cars are 11 "cars" long permanently connected on single axle trucks that make up the massive articulated car. So while it looks like 11 seperate cars, it is in reality, one very long one.

After getting out of work, I hurried over to Newport to try and catch the train. I would end up catching them north of Newport and turned around and set up in Newport Center and started my chase from there.
