happy monday & hallelujah for the single ladies

a few thingsssss:

- my meta app has been a little spicy in the last week! i’m getting messages delayed and my messages are being delayed or not delivered as well. i promise i am not ignoring you! 💛

- with my weekends filling up & getting busier, i will be slower to respond fri-sun! again, i promiseeeee i am not ignoring you!! i am just trying my best to respect those in front of my camera on the weekends, as well as decompress after the busy days too!! 🫶🏼

It’s May. And that means it’s also Mental Health Awareness Month. And I just wanted to share a little message that’s been on my heart lately. 🥺

I think it’s really easy to look at someone’s life and assume they’ve got it all figured out. That it’s easier than what it is.

Maybe they’re traveling. Maybe they’ve got their dream job. Maybe they’re smiling in photos. Maybe they’re accomplishing things you wanted to. They might seem confident, happy, and successful. They could even seem perfect.

From the outside, it could look amazing.

But most people are carrying things you’ll never see.

These photos highlight a few things that I personally struggle with. Some are tied to being a photographer. Some aren’t. Some I’ve talked about before, and some I’ve carried quietly.

Every single person you’ll meet could be fighting a battle you have no idea about. It could be the friend who’s always checking on everyone else. Or the one who seems successful. Or the person who always says, “Oh, I’m good”.

Let this be your reminder to check on your people. Reach out first. Be kind to strangers. Offer your help at a store.

Behind every business, every photo, every person, every smile, every accomplishment, and every social medial post, there’s a human just trying their best.

& If you’re carrying something heavy, just know that you’re never alone. My inboxes are always open, and I’m always up for talking and being there. 💛

weekend recap 🖤

friday — kicked off my spring sale & started the process of uploading and resending missing/non-delivered galleries (yay for faster upload speeds 🥳)

saturday — spent the day celebrating Dom & DJ with their wonderful friends and family, and it was such a beautiful day! 🥹🤍💍

sunday — got absolutely smacked with flu-like symptoms. i’m talking sweating profusely while somehow also freezing, wrapped in 3+ blankets, and questioning everything. pretty sure i have got a double ear infection too. 🥲

today — still feeling like i’m being punished by the universe, but less sweaty and not quite as frozen. still can’t breathe, BUT i have managed to keep my eyes open for longer than 15 minutes at a time, so we’re celebrating the small wins! 🥳

i’m slowly working my way through weekend messages, re-uploads, and everything in between.

if you’re waiting to hear from me, i just ask for a little patience while I recover from this personal attack of a flu that has taken over my life. 🤧
