Have the smaller wedding.

I’m talking to the brides who are on the fence right now, between having a big or small wedding. Because more often than not, you talk yourself out of the small one. You’re scared to disappoint someone. You have an idea in your head of what a wedding day is supposed to look like, and it’s loud, and full, and everyone’s there.

But you’re intentional about your people. You feel other people’s energy, and it affects you more than you say out loud. What you actually want is time. Real time, with the people who know you best. Your best friend. Your parents. Your partner, standing right in front of you, not somewhere across a room of 150 faces.

You don’t want a production. You want your wedding day.

Here’s what a smaller wedding actually gives you. Space to slow down. Energy left at the end of the night instead of none. Real conversations instead of a receiving line. A day you can feel while it’s happening instead of one you have to see the photos of before you know how it went.

That’s the wedding I show up for. Intimate and real. Present, never performed. If that’s the day you actually want, you’re allowed to have it. If this is you, I want to know more. ❤️

Just you, me, and the horses🌞✨🌿

Where do I even begin? Being around Dixie and Tanner was easy. Easy to talk to and easy to photograph their love. You could immediately tell that one of Tanner’s favorite things to do was to make Dixie laugh. He loved to see her smile. You could also tell that Tanner still makes Dixie blush and she adores him. It wasn’t hard to document that kind of love.

The session had so many different lighting scenarios and it ended up giving the gallery so much variety. I also had a very special friend let us use her horses for some shots, very thankful for her.

Anyways, I believe these are the kind of photos you end up showing your grandkids someday. You can see the warmth and love radiate off each photograph and that’s what it’s all about.
There are so many seasons in life and they are worth documenting. Let’s do it together 🫶🏼
