Ok yes, the location matters, (obviously haha). Like the coastline is stunning, the beaches are beautiful, the sea stacks are iconic, all of that is true! But I donât actually think thatâs what makes an Oregon Coast elopement feel special.
I think itâs the pace. Thereâs something about being near the ocean that makes people slow down a little. Maybe itâs because watching the waves crash for 10 min somehow feels completely normal or itâs because every good Oregon Coast weekend seems to involve wandering without much of a plan. Idk whatever it is, I love it.
Instead of starting to plan your elopement and immediately thinking about where you want to get married, consider how you want the day to feel or how youâd like to spend your time.
Do you want to wake up slowly in a beach house and drink coffee while staring out at the ocean? Do you want to spend the afternoon exploring tide pools? Do you want to grab fish and chips after your ceremony and watch the sunset from the beach?? Do you want to end the night around a fire with your favorite people?
Those are the things youâll actually remember. Not just the view, but what you did there.
The best elopements Iâve seen are built around an experience, and the location simply becomes part of the story.
