Earlier this spring when it was pouring rain for about a week, I decided I wanted to seize the day and make some art just for myself. I thrive off of nostalgia, so leaning in to that felt just right. I styled this session top to bottom with things that bring me joy, and I’m so grateful that when I reached out to Alexandra Haga | Northern Colorado Photographer about having her family model for me, she said yes. Her sweet family brought my vision to life and we made some magic that really filled up my cup ✨ So here’s to summer days that remind us of our younger selves. The promise of fun that the sunshine always brings, big belly laughs, tender mama hugs, and beard tickles for Dada. I’ll be back with part two and maybe three from this session very soon!

This session was soul filling to cull and edit. A mama and her boy. making magic in front of the camera on our sand dunes trip organized by the amazing where we camped and created. If there’s any advice I could give to other photographers who are just starting out, it’s to connect with other creatives and just make some art together.

I finally had a chance to edit .mountain.magic.photos amazing family! I had the pleasure of photographing them last summer in the mountains at a workshop hosted by & ✨It was so much fun to just create some art for the sake of it. What a dream your family is!!
