Today was a day trip to the beautiful city of San Gimingano. Old architecture and very good white wine. I had the best gelato I will ever have in my life.

We went to Siena today. We ran into a Salvador Dali exhibit in a museum there so that took up some walking time. Which was ok because this town is on a hill with steep streets. Beautiful setting though.

Day 2 from Florence. Mostly a free day so we just wandered from here to there. We ran into the Galileo Museum. and went to the hills on the other side of the Arno River to get a fantastic view of the city. Too much walking, not enough drinking.

First full day in Florence, Italy. Took us abour 17 hours, over two days to get here. We went to the Academia Gallery to see , Michealangelo's stature of David and climbed to the top of the Duomo. 463 steps. You wouild think coming from 5,000-feet elevation would do the trick. Not so much. Food is good, wine is better. Lots of walking. Getting our city legs.

Finally some snow in Fort Collins. I think the first snow since last April sometime? It livens up the place.

On our way back home from California we stopped at a rest stop in Utah and I think it was the most scenic rest stop I have ever been to.
