Hey ya'll! I'm meg and I'm a Colorado based lifestyle and wedding photographer. I am located in Fort Collins🤘 First off, I am so glad you made it here!

I am a Nebraska based lifestyle and wedding photographer. I am based out of Omaha, but am a travel ju**ie and willing to leave to go anywhere on a minutes notice. I describe my journey with photography as a hobby turned career. My passion for taking pictures is a HUGE part of who I am. HOW TO GET EPIC DANCE FLOOR PHOTOS AT YOUR WEDDING 🕺

1. Hire a photographer that will get on the dance floor & interact with your guests. I will literally be out there jamming with you & tell guests to literally dance & come at my camera. When I show them they loose their sh*t laughing or say “holy s**t that’s epic”.

2. Hire a killer band or DJ! This can often make or break a dance party!! If you hire someone who is playing the wrong era or doesn’t know how to rile up a crowd people are going to get bored. If you need recs let a girl know 💅

3. Be on the dance floor with your party! Guests loose their mind at the opportunity to dance with you, trust me on this.

4. Party favors are a CROWD PLEASER. Take these party wigs… ICONIC.

Claire + Caleb’s magical wedding at The Joslyn Art Museum. 🎨✨

I mean, a wedding at an art museum??? Say less.

For those of you who still read captions (lol guilty as charged), I have a few major photo takeaways for couples:

ONE: Your venue and your photos go 🤝

The Joslyn is the perfect example. When your venue already has this much character, architecture, and visual interest, it becomes part of the story. I’m not trying to make the photos look like they could have been taken anywhere. I want to use what’s already there to create images that feel like this place, this day, these two people. Also, how it is mega inspiring to take photos at a museum!!

TWO: You can do whatever the f*ck you want at your wedding and I’m down for it.

Claire + Caleb got married in November and decided against doing a first look. Which meant all of their wedding party, family, and couple portraits happened AFTER the ceremony.

And in November? It gets dark FAST. 🌚

Knowing that going in, we knew we’d be working with low light and eventually no natural light, so instead of fighting it, we leaned in.

And honestly? How iconic did these flash photos turn out?!

This is why I’m always going to encourage you to make the decisions that actually feel right for you. My job is to figure out how to make the photos work around your day, not make your day work around my photos.

THREE: Trust your photographer. 😉

Two brides are better than one, am I right? 💗

These two are truly one-of-a-kind humans. Their wedding day was basically a masterclass in big love, big laughs, and absolutely zero dry eyes.

And the flower pups? ARE YOU KIDDING ME!!??

So much joy, so many happy tears, and so many little moments that made this day completely theirs.

Lauren + Payton, I adore you. What a fu***ng beautiful day to be a part of.
