A short documentary I made about Derek Crane, head Watchmaker at Vortic Watches – a company here in Fort Collins, Colorado.

Derek has built over 1,000 watches for the company, a feat that few others could claim in today's world of cheap quartz watches and soulless automation.

Love that I get to work alongside these amazing craftsmen and their nearly extinct art of building watches in America, it feels great to be able to support the revival of American watchmaking and manufacturing.

I'm excited to present the first of my Senior Ambassador Crew: Chloe!

For our first shoot we went to one of my favourite places in Fort Collins, PinBall Jones! As an 80s synthwave inspired shoot, it was all big hair, dark eyes, neon colours, and attitude. I think my crew did amazing.

Over the next few days I'll be posting some shots from the Avery Center's 12th Night Ball which was held at the Lincoln Center here in Fort Collins.

Our first subject is the stunning Jacquelyn. Her background in molecular science, grant writing, and volunteering is difficult to summarize faithfully! She currently serves on the board for the Northern Colorado Wildlife Center.

Jacquelyn helped our guests select some pretty costume jewelry to purchase or wear for their photoshoot, and a lot of them walked away grinning with their new purchases. And it was all for a good cause - check out what The Avery Center does! https://theaverycenter.org/

Miss Yuna came in to have her birthday portraits done. It's a tradition in some parts of China to get photos taken on your 8th birthday - the number 8 being a very lucky number in parts of East Asia. They normally have photos done at 100 days, 8 years, and then each year they have a photo album made with their classmates.

Personally, I think it's a great idea to get regular photos of your kids - yes I'm biased but really there's nothing like looking through an album and being able to recall what was going on just from photographs. I'm thinking of a 5, 10, 15, 20 sequence where children come in every 5 years to have a big fun photoshoot. It's an amazing way to track the growth of your kids!

Here's a rare thing - I made some self-portraits.

The reason I made these deserves a little explanation because they're not really what most would expect to see. The first and most obvious is because the other photos I have of myself are over a year old, and I definitely don't look the same now!

I also wanted to play with hats in headshots, and how we can get the lighting right. Turns out I had fun!
