Sometimes you need to lose track of time to remember why you started.

It had been way too long since I picked up my camera with no agenda—no client, no shot list, no expectations. Just shooting for the fun and love of it.
Guffey, Colorado. The gorgeous Kodie. A little creative freedom. And a reminder of how much I love doing this.

Kodie is not only incredible in front of the camera, she’s also one seriously talented entrepreneur—and exactly the kind of person who makes you want to keep creating.

Sometimes you just need to go make pictures because you can. And damn, that felt good.

If Netflix ever made a documentary about photographers... it wouldn’t be about cameras.

It would be about the things we somehow accept as completely normal.

→ Crawling through mud for the perfect angle.
→ Lying on the floor of a restaurant.
→ Convincing strangers that, no, we’re not actually crazy.
→ Carrying enough gear for a small expedition.

Every photographer has at least one story that starts with:

Forty looks pretty incredible on you—but then again, style has always been your thing. Leopard print, a little sparkle, vintage treasures, and a head full of creative ideas.

You're the kind of woman who always has her hands in a dozen beautiful projects—remodeling your home, dreaming up a photo studio, teaching at CSU, planting a vibrant garden full of roses. And somehow making it all look effortless.

This photo shoot was the perfect way to celebrate a milestone that proves age is nothing but a number. Forty isn't slowing you down—it's opening the door to even more possibilities, adventures, and dreams waiting to be created.

If you made it through those slides thinking, "Yep...that's me," you're exactly who I love working with.
