This picture was taken back in 2018 at Fit To Win (FTW) in Fort Jackson, SC… to me FTW was one of the most fun things to capture during the training cycles. Trainees would always cheer each other on and genuinely have a great time. This photo was also featured in the US Army top 100 photos of the year… #260

In some personal news… One of my photographs captured at BCT was selected for First Place in The South Carolina Press Association contest. The photo was featured in the Fort Jackson Leader and the cover of the yearly post guide, it won in the category “Feature Photo” (weekly over 7500 combined).
Words can’t express how grateful I am to win this award. Photography has always been my passion and my creative outlet, and being recognized on a statewide level is a huge honor.

I can’t believe it’s been a year already. Throughout the 2 years I was able to follow the husband around and tell the basic training story through my lens, this is probably one of my most favorite photos.
