Life lessons from Ken Hackman, the “Godfather” of military visual information.

Ken started his photography career as a 17-year-old Air Force photojournalist covering Vietnam. After a four year military tour, he transitioned to civilian service. Hackman traveled the globe from 1960-1995 making pictures for the Air Force and Department of Defense. He went on to become a highly-respected photographer and civil servant for the U.S. Air Force.

Life lessons from Chip Maury.

Chip's 20 years of military service included three tours to Vietnam. He served as a Navy UDT-SEAL photographer, specializing in diving and free-fall photography. As a civilian, he went on to become the director of photography for the Providence Journal-Bulletin followed by the Indianapolis Star. Today, he continues to mentor military communicators at the DoD Visual Storytelling Workshop.
