Spent the last week disconnecting and escaping into the wilderness! This is one of our favorite ‘escape to’ spots! I have been working hard to create a life that I don’t want to escape from despite what seems like constant and persistent resistance to that goal. BUT while editing this shot, I realized our adventures are more of an escape to reality rather than from it. This is where we really live.

I want to say thank you for all the support we have received since my last post. It means more to me than words will ever be able to describe! 🖤🖤

Thank goodness for Facebook creeping, because I just realized these two love birds got engaged exactly a year ago! (According to the FB at least!!)

I have literally never met a couple more perfect for each other! Also, they are beautiful human beings! Stopped everything to rescue a baby bird with a broken wing that day! Huge congrats to and !! You guys are AMAZING!!

Normally, I am back home in Indiana this week, every year. Doubt I will ever get used to not going back to my home. Two years later, I am super thankful that I was able to spend Father’s Day and my birthday at home, not knowing six months after that trip everything would change.

Hey Everyone! This is a self portrait of me contemplating my portfolio and how I want to expand it! (Actually, I was totally just testing out the lights!) I would like to add maternity and bo***ir-esque style portraits to my lineup! So, I am searching for an expecting mother and any woman that would be interested in a bo***ir style shoot! This would be a completely complimentary shoot and will include up to three images! If you are interested or know someone that would be interested, please let me know!

Does anyone else avoid social media like the plague?! I think I have now for maybe four months 😬 Sometimes, you just have to focus your time elsewhere, right?! For me, I decided to spend my time with this badass kid and practiced new shooting styles while collaborating with some awesome people! So, while I avoided the IG and the FB, I did discover some awesome locations from our adventures, made new friendships, and have about 85 million shoots to share!

As many might guess, I am not a huge fan of Valentine’s Day. However, I am a HUGE advocate of trying to celebrate LOVE in my household, in my life, in my relationships, in everything on a daily basis. Sometimes, I falter, yes. Life is full of stress and grief and unending obstacles. I have made it a goal over the last year to try to express my daily frustrations through other routes like my photography. Since the shift, my personal interactions and my life in general has drastically changed in a very positive, loving way. To that end, I just want to say, I couldn’t care less about Valentine’s Day and this photo has little to do with the holiday, but more about celebrating and appreciating the love that I am lucky to have in my life every day.
