Hey there to all my clients, and amazing friends and family!
I hope everyone had a beautiful Christmas and is enjoying this sweet in between time while we wait for New Years.
I realize that I haven't made an official announcement about the state of my photography business with all that has been going on. I'm sure most of you have seen but for those that haven't, I wanted to update.
Back in October our sweet Abby girl fractured her femur, and we got results back that she has type 1 Osteogenesis Imperfecta, also known as brittle bone disease. This is a rare genetic bone disease in which her bones are extremely fragile, breaking sometimes just by moving her the wrong way. After the fracture in October, Abby wore a special spica cast for 4 weeks. Her cast was off for just two weeks and then she fractured her other femur bone the day before Thanksgiving. Her second spica cast just came off two days before Christmas, praise the Lord.
We are still very much in the learning phase, and looking into possible treatments to help strengthen her bones. God has been SO good and we feel Him working in every piece of her life, and ours. He has given us so much peace, and He is quite literally giving me the strength to carry her for months and months and I'm beyond grateful for the growth He's given us spiritually, physically, mentally, and emotionally. We are also praising Him for Abby's resilience and joy through all of this. She's always laughing and smiling, and is just the toughest little girl. She brings us so much joy and I thank God almost hourly these days for all the little things that are actually big things. We are so blessed. The prayers, love, donations, and support that family friends, and even strangers have provided us with are more helpful that we can even express. We are beyond thankful for your love and generosity.
Our day to day life can change in a moment now, making our days a little unpredictable. Abby also needs my care, solely, so I won't be able to leave her. Because of this, I'll be putting my photography business on hold. I don't know when I'll return, but I look forward to being able to give 100% to my family right now.
I'll also be cancelling my gallery sharing website for now, so that I'm not paying monthly for something I'm not using. I'll be emailing everyone this week as a reminder but I wanted to share on here as well. If you haven't downloaded your galleries to your devices, I strongly suggest doing so, because once I cancel my account, they will be erased from Pixieset. I always have ALL my galleries stored on an external hard drive, but it would be easiest if you downloaded them straight from your link.
If you've lost your personal link to your gallery please message me and I'd be happy to send it over! This is for all galleries present and years past. I'll send one last reminder in a week before I cancel as well.
Thank you for understanding as we navigate these new things. We love you and are so grateful for you. To all my clients that have trusted me with their beautiful memories over the years, know that I have been filled with joy in capturing these moments for you. Thank you and Happy New Year 🤍
