From our State Capitol to the Indy500 🏎️🏁 our coverage of Indianapolis was nothing short of amazing.

Fam, our state officials are truly wonderful. I saw Bibles (yes plural), prayer shawls, sports memorabilia, awards and a whole lot of American pride.

Broadcasting from was incredible. Hearing the racecars in the background, smelling the heat off the tires (yes you can, in fact, SMELL the heat!) and watching the track come to life since we were the first ones there at 4:00am were among my favorite moments from Carb Day.

I can't imagine experiencing my FIRST Carb Day with any other team besides the best one in radio: Kayla Blakeslee, Josh Williams & Brooklyne Williams.

Now the big question: where should we go next??

Last week was another "how is this our life" work week for myself, Kayla Blakeslee , Producer Josh Williams and Brooklyne Williams taking Fort Wayne's Morning News on the road to the Indiana State House and the Indy500!

I can't wait to share the moments from our time in Indy, and to hear the exclusive interviews you'll have to tune into WOWO News/Talk 92.3 FM & 1190 AM during the show.

For now- a look at the team I'm so proud to be part of and our lawmakers who are fighting the good fight.

Of all the things I was impressed with, the most impressive: every single one of the elected officials we met with had multiple Bibles in their offices, and not just pristine ones sitting on shelves but ones that have clearly been used. An incredible thanks to Lt. Micah Beckwith For Indiana, Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita and Governor Mike Braun for carving out some time for us.

Kasandra & Mitchell's wedding was undoubtedly one of the most couple centered weddings I've ever photographed. Every single detail was specifically curated to bring to life all the facets of their love story.

Most notably, these floral installations. Mitchell is an exceptionally gifted muralist in Fort Wayne, and the reason for he and Kasandra to even meet! Each of these floral pieces curated by the talented Molly & Clover represent one of his murals- a detail his bride insisted on incorporating.

The grounds they were married on belong to his grandfather with birdhouses everywhere made by Mitchell's late grandmother (clearly art runs in the family!)
Kasandra wore a string of pearls given to her when she was a teenager, carrying a rose floral bouquet adorned with photos of her late father.

Every detail was artistically selected- which is quite fitting for these art lovers.

Their wedding day was a perfect reminder of what a wedding day actually is about--a marriage. The beginning of their day started with them taking communion- just the two of them. (Well, three including Jesus). What a testament to the life I know they will live- a marriage with Jesus at the center. The floral installations were beautiful, but I can't think of anything more beautiful than a marriage which points to Jesus.

To Mitchell and Kasandra, I pray every day brings color to your lives that reminds you of the incredible gift bestowed upon you by God-- bringing you together. May your paint brushes be full, your lives filled with "oh my gosh this is beautiful" moments, and hearts always in love with each other.
