Mike Durbin Photography Mike Durbin Photography: Capturing life in my backyard and beyond. Call me a shutterbug, I never leave home without a camera. Enter Sparrow Tree Photography.

For a long time now, I’ve been thinking about creating a place to share the ever growing collection of photos that I take. Photos of nature, photos from my travels, and photos that capture life in general. I gave a lot of thought to the naming of the blog and drew inspiration from the house sparrows in the tree outside of my bathroom window. Despite the brutal weather we endured this past winter,

the sparrows were a constant presence in that tree. Their ability to survive and endure is inspiring. This blog is very much a work in progress. An adventure that I'm thoroughly enjoying. I hope you'll follow along. Oh look over there, something shiny. Better go take a picture of it. Be back soon.

Grateful to have been a part of this project!

What a great way to kick off 10 years of public art programming!

We are overwhelmed with gratitude. Thank you to the Community Foundation of Greater Fort Wayne and the Knight Foundation Fund. Without your support, this project would not be possible.

April is Jazz Appreciation Month and the Allen County Public Library celebrated during their monthly Music at the Library series this afternoon with a New Orleans style jazz concert featuring the Farmland Jazz Band. The guys put on a great show and I enjoyed it from the front row. Captured a little video from the last song. Good times!
