Neither one told me its story. I don’t know who walked through that front door or who once picked up that receiver. But that’s the part I love. You come across these pieces of other people’s lives with no beginning and no ending, just enough left behind to make you wonder.

Maybe not every story is ours to know.
Sometimes we just get to find the pieces.

It looks like the last song didn’t end.
It was abandoned.
Broken keys. Dust where hands once rested. A piano left standing in a building that’s slowly coming apart around it.

And still, it’s the first thing in the room you want to touch. 🎹

Well what a ride that was!!
My little adventure in America’s Favorite Photos has officially come to an end, finishing 3rd in the semifinals in Round Four of Five! And while I didn’t make the finals, I’m walking away with a pretty full heart.
This was my first photography competition in over 20 years. Yes….it’s been that long since I’ve put my work out there in this way and what started as simply taking a chance on one of my photographs turned into something pretty special.
Photography has always been a part of who I am. It’s how I see the world, find beauty in unexpected places, and share a little piece of myself with others.
To everyone who voted, shared, and cheered me on, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your support has meant more than you know. 🤎
I may not be bringing home the title but I’m walking away with a little more confidence and a reminder of why I fell in love with photography in the first place.
Not a bad comeback after almost 20 years. 🥹📸

We’ve come this far… can we pull off one last comeback?! 🤞
Voting closes TONIGHT at 10 PM Eastern!
Let’s give Boho Hue one final push! 🤎

There are doors you open.
And doors you photograph from a safe distance.
The boot above the doorway made the decision for me. 🖤

The closer we get to Halloween, the stranger this collection gets… 🎃

DOUBLE VOTE DAY!!!
Okay, friends… I might need to call in the reinforcements for real this time. 📸
The semifinals of America’s Favorite Photos are proving to be a tough crowd!
My photograph is currently sitting in 4th place and only ONE photo from each group gets a ticket to the finals! 👀
We’ve made it this far and I’m not ready to throw in the towel just yet!
Voting closes Monday night, so if you’ve got a minute to spare, I’d love a little help getting Boho Hue up that leaderboard!
Let’s see if we can pull off a comeback!
🤞📸 And thank you to all who have shared and voted….means the World 🤎

This one had me looking twice.
Built straight through the floors, wrapped in old wire mesh and still sitting there after who knows how many years. It appears to be the remains of an early freight lift, once used to haul goods from one level of the building to another.

Whatever traveled through here is long gone. The bones of how this building once worked are still hanging on.
Do you know? 🤷🏼‍♀️
