🇺🇸📸 LABOR DAY FREEBIE! 📸🇺🇸

Yes… you read that right. FREEBIE! 👀

I’ve had some goals for new growth opportunities for a while now, but if I’m being honest… I haven’t truly acted on them.

One of those goals? Shooting a new sport!

I’ve been wanting to branch out into other sports for a LONG time. They’ve been an idea in the back of my mind, but this year, I’m saying ENOUGH TALK. I’M MAKING IT HAPPEN! 🙌

And what better way to grow myself and give back to athletes at the same time?! ❤️

So… I’m looking for 2 NEW SPORT OPPORTUNITIES. Either Fall 2026 or Spring 2027!

This can be a school sport OR an organizational sport outside of school.

🏐 Volleyball
🏈 Football
🏀 Basketball
⚽ Soccer
…and potentially other sports too!

I have previously photographed 8U soccer, but I’d love the opportunity to continue expanding my experience!

📸 HERE’S HOW TO QUALIFY:

1️⃣ You MUST be following me!
A simple follow can go a LONG way in supporting my photography journey. ❤️

2️⃣ You MUST play a sport other than baseball/softball.
I absolutely still photograph baseball and softball (and I have a LOT of experience in both!), but this particular opportunity is specifically about branching out into something new for me.

👉 Don’t worry, baseball/softball friends. I have another opportunity coming VERY soon! 👀

3️⃣ You MUST be willing to allow the photos to be used for marketing and social media.

Part of the purpose of this opportunity is helping me build my portfolio in a new sport, so I need permission to share the images.

4️⃣ You MUST get clearance from whoever is in charge.

THIS ONE IS IMPORTANT. ⬇️

You cannot simply tell me, “Come shoot our game!” and expect me to show up with a camera. 😂

There are rules, especially when photographing youth sports.

Think:

🏈 Football → I may need sideline access
🏀 Basketball → I may need court access
🏐 Volleyball → I may need court access
⚽ Soccer → I may need permission/access depending on the organization

You are responsible for finding out what requirements are needed for me to photograph the event without paying a vendor/photographer fee, and making sure the appropriate person has given their approval.

I am MORE than happy to help communicate with directors, coaches, organizations, etc. However, you are responsible for letting me know what the process is and making sure I’m cleared to be there.

Especially when kids are involved, there is a process, and I want to make sure we handle everything professionally and respectfully. ❤️

🚨 SO HERE’S THE DEAL:

I am taking the FIRST 2 PEOPLE who message me who:

✅ Play a sport other than baseball/softball
✅ Meet ALL of the requirements above
✅ Are willing to let me capture their athletes in action
✅ Can make this happen in Fall 2026 OR Spring 2027

📸 I have seen so many posts all over in different photographer groups, and with more people getting into the photography world, here are some friendly reminders about photographer etiquette.

Comparison is the thief of joy. We are all unique in our craft, don't compare your work to another's and get discouraged.

Collaboration is not competition. There is truly room for all of us to create, grow, and succeed! One of the best parts of the photography community is seeing everyone’s unique talents, styles, and creativity.

An important part of supporting one another is respecting the work behind every image. If you are a photographer or creative professional and would like to use another photographer’s photo to create a graphic, composite, banner, poster, keepsake, advertisement, or another product for profit, please contact the original photographer first.

Even when the payment is for the new design or additional editing, the original photograph is still the foundation of the finished product. A quick conversation allows everyone to communicate, give permission, receive proper credit, and possibly even create an amazing collaboration!

This is not about clients sharing, posting, or tagging their images, it is simply about creative professionals using another photographer’s work as part of a paid product or service.

And clients, if you would like special retouching, a specific edit, or something unique created from your photos, just ask your original photographer! We don’t bite, and most of us are happy to hear your ideas and help make them happen. I've gone back and made specific edits at the request from others hundreds of times and I am extremely happy to do it so it matches their vision!

There is plenty of room for everyone to shine. Let’s continue cheering each other on, communicating openly, respecting each other’s work, and choosing collaboration over competition. 🫶📸✨
