Now, I don't get vulnerable with y'all here often, but I've been learning that it's okay. Today, I'd like to share a bit with y'all; is that okay? ​​​​​​​​
Photography has been my love for about 10 years and a lot of my first images were taken on my grandparents property in Western Massachusetts. ​​​​​​​​
Once the whole pandemic started, I (along with many others) went through a bit of a rough patch and lost some of my motivation. ​​​​​​​​
Along with that, in May of 2021, my sweet grandpa passed away and although we knew it would be coming due to his worsening dementia, it all happened so quickly. ​​​​​​​​
Not a year later, my grammy passed away fairly unexpectedly in March of this year. ​​​​​​​​
These two had influenced my life greatly and at one point, helped to raise me. They always supported me, always prayed for me, and suddenly they were both gone. ​​​​​​​​
The loss took a toll on me emotionally and on my photography- I didn't have much motivation or inspiration left. ​​​​​​​​
It's been almost a year and I'm still processing and grieving. ​​​​​​​​
This post is part of that process.​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
But I'm here. I'm doing better and pushing forward. It's what they both would have wanted for me. ​​​​​​​​
​​​​​​​​
So all that to say, thank you to all of my clients, friends, and family for having patience with me this year as I've been processing life and getting back to what I love! ​​​​​​​​
